HSA Students at the KHIMA Conference

Picture of the HSA students who are currently at the Kentucky Health Information Management Association's Annual Meeting in Lexington. 

EKU has been the talk of the conference for having so many students present. Everyone is so glad they are here.

1.  Two HSA students won KHIMA scholarships: Arikka Standafer and Emily Roark.

2.  7 of the 9 KHIMA officers (Board members) sworn in this morning are EKU grads.

3. The 2017 MVP Award (someone who took on a huge project at work for their employer this past year and was successful) went to Todd Williams, RHIA (graduated from HSA in 2014). He was a key player in the Epic EHR implantation for Baptist.

4.  The 2017 Rising Star Award (someone who shows early career signs of becoming a distinguished HIM professional) went to Evan Harmon, MHI, RHIA (graduated from HSA in 2009).  Evan is one of the chief Epic executives for Baptist corporate. He is also a current KHIMA President, has served on many committees.  We are so proud of all of our students past and present!!!
